Silesian Cluster of Culture, Tourism and Recreation was established in 2013, as part of the project, co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund within the framework of the Regional Operational Programme of the Silesia Voivodeship for the years 2007-2013.
Main objectives of the Silesian Cluster of Culture, Tourism and Recreation include: proper visibility and more effective use of cultural and environmental potential of Upper Silesia (Poland), increasing its cultural, tourist, recreation – and therefore investment – attractiveness, promoting its values and building a positive image.
The Cluster is based on collaboration of service providers in the field of tourism, culture and recreation (including cultural institutions, museums, associations), with the participation of tourism-related entities, consulting companies, companies operating in the field of events, promotion and marketing, as well as R&D institutions and universities. The partnership is based on transfer of knowledge, technology and innovation between the Cluster members.
